Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps

So, I have no idea the likelyhood of this happening, so I'm trying not to get too excited about it: But there is a chance that I may get paid to accompany my film prof to Tokyo this summer to translate. She mentioned it to me really briefly in class and said we'd talk later. I really hope that happens, (though I'm nervous my Japanese won't be good enough) becuase it'd be super sweet to have on my resume, and as an experience. I mean, getting paid to go to Japan and speak Japanese? It almost sounds too good to be true. Hence me trying to not get my hopes up (but inside I'm squeeling like a little girl who just got the pony she always wanted).

[update] My prof hasn't submitted her proposal for the trip yet, but she thinks they're more likely to pay for a translator if it's a student. Here's hoping!
